Ignite Young Adult Entrepreneurial Internship

Empowering Bermuda’s young adults to explore their passion for Entrepreneurship

Ignite’s Young Adult Entrepreneurial Internship gives Bermudians aged 18-25 the opportunity to gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience with some of Bermuda’s most innovative startups – many of them Ignite graduates. Successful interns will:

  • Work directly with entrepreneurial leaders in both for-profit and non-profit sectors.
  • Participate in information sessions with the Ignite team.
  • Develop their won entrepreneurial ideas and projects in the Ignite Hub, supported by mentors and programme facilitators.

Orientation:

The summer begins with an Ignite orientation, followed by a five-week immersive experience. Interns will receive:

  • One-to-one mentorship form a host entrepreneur or business
  • Workshops and training from industry experts and Ignite alumni
  • Community support through group check-ins, huddles, and peer collaboration
 
 
 
 
 
 
  • 8 hours/week working on a specific project with a host startup or organisation.
    • 4 hours/week for:
    • Skill-building workshops Group huddles and community check-ins
    • Personal development sessions

Workshop topics may include:

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Customer Discovery
  • Lean Startup Principles
  • Marketing & Branding
  • Leadership & Team Building
  • and more!

No academic qualifications or prior work experience required – just passion, commitment, and the right attitude. Applicants must:

  • Be 18-25 years old 
  • Be Bermudian or have Permission to Work in Bermuda 
  • Commit to in-person workshops twice a week 
  • Be available to work 8 hours/week with their host business
  • Demonstrate:
    • Open-Mindedness
    • Positive Attitude
    • Self-Motivation
    • Organisation and attention to detail
    • Willingness to learn and take feedback

Interns will gain practical business skills, leadership experience, and a professional network. Each successful participant will earn up to $1,500 upon completion of their host project. The programme concludes with presentations of their work and an awards ceremony celebrating their contributions to Bermuda’s entrepreneurial community.
